[論文新知] AKK降低老鼠動脈硬化

本研究刊登於Circulation. 2016 Jun 14;133(24):2434-46.

使用Akkermansia Muciniphila (Cat. No. BAA-835, ATCC, Manassas, VA)

可在Apoe-/-老鼠減低動脈硬化

NCD就是 不特別的老鼠飲食

WD就是模擬西方飲食western diet(Cat no. D12079B, Research Diet, New Brunswick, NJ)

八周大的老鼠 食用八週以後 解剖

PBS是單純的載體 不含AKK菌

hk是用熱死的AKK的意思 就是代表是活的AKK才會有效果

左下和右下動脈上都有許多硬化的斑塊

但是右上(西方飲食+AKK菌)沒有許多硬化的斑塊

黃色框框就是動脈硬化的地方

左下和右下動脈上都有許多硬化的斑塊

但是右上(西方飲食+AKK菌)沒有許多硬化的斑塊 跟NCD是相似的

lesion area, lesion size都是指動脈硬化的區域

可以看到 西方飲食+載體、西方飲食+死AKK菌 都是比較高的動脈硬化

但是活的AKK菌可以減少西方飲食帶來的動脈硬化現象
